CEO Yoshio Fujita
Position/Name | Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yoshio Fujita | Founder’s Vision | Yoshio Fujita remembers watching Astro Boy on TV as a child, thinking how amazing the future would be. At the time, he dreamed of becoming a scientist who could help create that future. In the second grade in elementary school, he won a gold medal in a prefectural art competition, which was the first time he received praised by the people those around him. Growing up with health issues, Yoshio often lacked confidence, but that experience sparked a love for art, leading him to aspire to become an artist. Although he did not become a scientist or an artist, 30 years later, he found his motivation for starting a business: to create the future society he had envisioned as a child. In August 2002, Yoshio founded NEXT-SYSTEM with the goal of merging technology and content to deliver services that shape the future of Japan and the world. His desire to become a scientist inspired the tech side of the company, while his passion for art shaped its content side. Thirty years ago, Yoshio was one of the first engineers in Japan to work on an object-oriented microkernel OS with a design philosophy similar to today’s Mac OSX and iOS. At that time, this new concept and programming language (C++) had just been introduced globally, so he had to source materials directly from Bell Labs in the U.S. and decode them while working on development. Yoshio also contributed to the development of early internet servers and various communication protocols. With his skills and knowledge, he focused on cutting-edge development, leading NEXT-SYSTEM to become a prominent company in Kyushu, specializing in areas like BREW, Mobile Ajax, Android/iOS, AR, VR/MR, NUI (Natural User Interface), and AI. Today, the company attracts talented engineers from Japan and abroad, with about 90% of its employees being developers passionate about advancing technologies such as AI and AR/MR. NEXT-SYSTEM is currently developing VisionPose, a high-precision AI Skeleton Detection System utilizing the latest AI technologies, along with various AR and MR systems. The company actively pursues cutting-edge technologies like AI and NUI to make computer systems more user-friendly, improve online services, and provide exciting UI/UX experiences. The future envisioned in Astro Boy reflects Yoshio’s desire for a more convenient, prosperous, and comfortable life. He wants to bring that dream to life by leveraging the latest AI, NUI, and AR/MR technologies to build a better future. For all the young people out there who also want to shape the future, he invites them to join in making that dream a reality. Since its founding, NEXT-SYSTEM has stood by the motto “Turn dreams into reality & create the future.” The company is dedicated to providing the best services using cutting-edge technology and content, striving to create a future society that is comfortable, prosperous, and convenient for everyone. Yoshio hopes to contribute to the future of Japan and the world through this mission. |
